What
is your favorite
part
of the business;
acting,
writing,
producing?
|
 |
 |
It’s
all satisfying. Acting is where I initially started
out; however, contributing to authorship and ownership
is extremely gratifying. Producing is a business process
and salesmanship. Each have their own appeal. I would
like to direct. There is a disproportionate amount of
attention put towards actors. There are cool job opportunities
in other capacities still working on movies. The expanding
integration between computers and film making has caused
the line to be almost totally blurred. There is high
demand for good people in computer graphics, photography,
and cinematography. They get to create original images
that help bring a film to life. I would think that would
be a really fun and exciting way to spend your day.

Interview with
Producer
Gary Foster
What can we expect from Daredevil?
This
movie was at another level of film making for me. Daredevil
was in development before Spiderman. Production actually
started six years ago. It was a long process and a roller
coaster ride of a film to make. It was a passion project
for writer and director Mark Steven Johnson. The industry
still hadn’t accepted the comic book genre when the project
was initially proposed, so it was great timing to have
Daredevil released right after Spiderman.
What was it like working with Ben Affleck?
Ben is great, a gentleman, and is very bright. Ben was a big part of the process
in the making of Daredevil. He’s a solid actor, writer
and a great collaborator. He read the comic book as a
kid so he was very attached to the project. I also enjoyed
working with Jennifer Garner, Colin Farrell and Michael
Clarke Duncan. They were the best cast.
What was it like working with Stan Lee?
It was great to work with the creator
of Daredevil. Stan shared information about the inception
and development of the character and has a cameo in the
movie. Frank Miller who created Elektra gave us good info,
as well.
