Ever since the USB port became a standard on most
computers, there have been all sorts of USB accessories
on the market. Some are useful and others are for
pure entertainment. Cube Collection presents another
unique USB toy with USB Chameleon. The Chameleon
has no storage or additional USB ports, so it's
strictly for entertainment purposes. That said,
it is quite entertaining. The Chameleon is very
detailed and looks almost real at first glance.
He has a bendable tail and legs so you can put him
practically anywhere near your computer. I have
him on the corner of my LCD monitor. I plug in the
USB cable and he comes to life. His eyes spin around
in random directions and he sticks out his tongue.
He does sit still for a few moments, then he starts
moving again. My only complaint is the internal
motor and gears that bring him to life are really
noisy. Knowing this, I do not leave him plugged
in all the time. It would get annoying after a few
minutes. It would be nice if he had an on/off switch.
The Chameleon makes a great gift. Just plug him
in and he becomes a great conversation piece.
