=SPORTS IN SALAMANCA=

Hunting and fishing figure prominently among the sporting activities to be enjoyed in the province. For informationa on areas set aside for these activities and the relevant permits, kindly contact the Regional Environmental Regulatory Authority.

There is an enormously wide range of possibilities for all manner of mountaineering, but restrictions on space limit recommendations to: the Batuecas Valley, ideal for hiking; and the Llano de la Covatilla, a place for skiers and ramblers.
Watersports and sailing enthusiasts should head for the La Almendra Dam. Golfers can either play at the Zaparicos Golf Course, situated in the town of the same name. El Matacán aerodrome, is the local base for all flying and aerial sports.
