"European Escape" Contest sponsored by U. Magazine/Colleges.com/Contiki Holidays

Official Rules February 20, 2004

The European Escape contest is open to legal U.S. residents 18-35 years old at time of final drawing (5/7/04). Employees of U. Inc., Colleges.com, Contiki Holidays, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in same household of each are not eligible. Void where prohibited.

1. To enter the European Escape Contest, access the Colleges.com web site at: http://www.colleges.com/util/signup.taf, follow all instructions and complete the online entry form including name, address, phone number and e-mail address. To qualify for a chance to win, your entry must be received by U. Inc./Colleges.com /Contiki Holdiays (hereby known as "sponsors") by midnight (EST) on 5/7/04. All entrants agree to receive future email or postal mailings from Sponsors. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the e-mail account. Use of automated devices not valid for entry. Incomplete entries will not be eligible for the contest drawing.

2. GENERAL: No substitution or transfer of prize permitted by winner. A recent photo of the winner of the European Escape Contest must be sent to U. Magazine within 3 (three) days of notification which will be used by Sponsors for promotional purposes. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Potential winner must execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Age, a recent photo and a Release of Liability . If an affidavit is not received on behalf of the winner within (7) days after first notification attempt, noncompliance within this time period will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. By entering the contest and/or accepting the prize, entrants grant permission to Sponsor and its agencies to use winner's name and/or likeness for purposes of advertising/trade, including right to own, reproduce, alter, amend, edit, publish and use photo/video, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. By accepting prize, winner agrees to hold harmless Sponsor, its respective directors, officers, employees and assigns against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of prize. U. Inc.where legally permitted, will issue a Publicity Release once winner is verified. Winner assumes all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this promotion or use/redemption of any prize. Entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final. Sponsor not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the contest or in the announcement of the prizes.

3. INTERNET: Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late or illegible entries nor for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission . Or, for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind, or inaccurate transmissions of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor or entrant on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. If for any reason the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this contest, Sponsor reserves the right at it’s sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the online contest.

4. Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any materials in the contest, or for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible or unreadable by sponsor. All entries become the property of Sponsor for promotional purposes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. IN THE EVENT THIS CONTEST IS COMPROMISED OR BECOMES TECHNICALLY CORRUPTED INANY WAY, ELECTRONICALLY OR OTHERWISE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO WITHDRAW THE ONLINE TRANSMISSION OF THIS CONTEST AND TO SELECT WINNERS FOR THE PRIZES BY RANDOM DRAWING FROM AMONG ALL ENTRIES RECEIVED.

5. The winner will be selected from among all eligible entries received. Drawing will be conducted on 5/17/04 at 12:01am E.S.T. by U., Inc, whose decision is final. Winners will be notified by email and telephone and will be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility and age and release of liability that must be signed and received by Sponsor. An alternate winner will be selected in a random drawing, if affidavit of winner is not received via fax within 24 hours of notification. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize with one of equal or greater value in the event prize is unavailable. Prize is not redeemable for cash. All taxes on prize and any other costs or expenses related to prize are winner’s responsibility. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winner’s name, prize won, hometown and likeness for online posting, and/or any advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation.

1. PRIZE: ONE Contiki Travel Trip to Europe, chosen by U. Inc. Winner must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years at time of drawing.

2. There will be no cash reimbursement for prize. Prize is guaranteed to be awarded. Any options for upgrades will be at winner’s expense.
