Mighty Wallet

Review by: Karen Hall

The Mighty Wallet is simple, smart, quirky, shockingly
durable, environmentally conscious, and reasonably
priced! I’ve been telling everyone I know about
them.
The wallets are each folded, origami-style (no stitches!)
from a single piece of Tyvek® , which is the tear-resistant
material used for Air Mail envelopes. Check out this
brief and impressive video of a Mighty Wallet supporting
a grown man’s weight! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qd2RoqjLLHk
The
stitchless design and unique material allow the wallets
stretch to contain whatever you can shove in there.
I have a lot of cards (gift cards and membership cards
– I don’t have a dozen credit cards, thank
goodness) and I was so pleased that every one of them
fit into my Mighty Wallet. I’ve tried many wallets,
and I’ve never had one that has been able to
hold absolutely everything until now. There are two
inside pockets that run the length of the wallet (perfect
for receipts, cash, etc.), two pockets suited for
IDs, credit cards, etc. and two more pockets on the
ends of the wallet that can hold however many cards
you have.
On top of everything else, the Mighty Wallets come
in 15 attractive designs to suit every taste. There
are subtle, traditional designs (“Classic Black”
and “My Old Wallet”), colorful, whimsical
ones (“Comic Book, Peace, Graffiti”) and
even a few that are cleverly disguised as something
else (“Air Mail,” “3 Ring Binder,”
and an accurate NYC subway map). I read on Terrence
Kelleman’s (the genius designer behind Dynomighty)
blog that someone his friend knew was mugged, but
his Mighty Wallet wasn’t stolen because it appeared
to be an envelope! How cool is that? I urge you to
go to the Dynomighty site and browse for your favorite
design. They also sell tote bags and luggage tags
made of the same material!
At $15, this deftly designed wallet is a steal. By
the way, as if it weren’t awesome enough already,
it’s made of 25% recycled material and is 100%
recyclable. Congratulations to Dynomighty and Mr.
Kelleman on coming up with this useful item. I give
it a hearty 5/5 U’s.
