Comic-Con San Diego, 2009
Within everyone lies the capacity to love comics. Whether it is a comic strip in the newspaper, a television show, movie, video game, or cartoon, there truly is something that keeps the industry thriving.
Comic-Con is the place to go where the fantastical becomes reality.
If Christmas and Halloween were to be combined, it would be an accurate depiction of what the aisles and aisles of artists, actors, comic books, toys, movie memorabilia, and fans dressed in home-made costumes come together for: to bask in the glory and splendor that comes to San Diego once a year.
This is what makes The Art Institutes one smart cookie for exhibiting to show how to make the dream a reality. They have an amazing booth with Apple computers and design software, to quench the thirst of wonderment and to answer the question on every comic book geek's tongue, "How can I do this the rest of my life?"
For three more days, Comic-Con is churning away. If you are planning on attending, and do not yet have a ticket, be sure to hit up eBay ,because on-site attendee badges are sold out. Also, get comfortable with the idea that you will be riding in a pedi-cab, unless you are a fan of traveling miles to the San Diego Convention center on foot from the no-so-ample parking that is available. If you can get there,go, go, go!
